By 1968, the Haight-Ashbury scene had decayed. It had changed in 1967 from givers to takers. Instead of bringing something to the movement, people came to only take things away. These people shown are doing a 'nothing' chant for the tourists for some spare change. Their eyes are outward scheming and not inward searching. Kids came from all over the world to 'take' and got taken by hustlers.
